How soon do they have to notify you about it?

A Detective hold is not a regular impoundment. Often the car stays impounded ( evidence) until the case is resolved.
My friend’s computer was never returned in case the criminal wanted to appeal.

call them and ask for sure. i think 72 hrs. unless formal charges are filed. you pay fees dude. they don’t notify you dude you have to call the impound lot. you get it back when they are done with investigation and fees paid. then valid license, proof of insurance, valid plates, and no holds to get it back……….sorry
