My Opinion on spray in foam expandable insulation?? IT SUCKS. First of all, it is very expensive and it will take many cans of it to insulate your headliner shell due to the fact that it is approx. 3 inch’s in depth. It also collects moisture very bad from humidity and rain. And last but not least, the expandable foam never quits expanding. The heat makes it rise like a cake in the oven, and it will eventually bind and warp your fiberglass.. NO EXPANDABLE FOAM!!! PERIOD

No! Don’t use house insulation on your Chevelle.. You need to use regular Jute Backing with Aluminum on one side for head type insulation in your steel body factory car. Thanks Pete

Hay Pete, do you recommend the house insulation on my 70 Chevelle? I will probabily be running the stock head liner, and don’t think it will fit.

Oh man, Pete your the best. Is the coupe headliner the same as the Vicky? I was going to use that expandable spray in foam, what’s your opinion on that, instead of using house insulation?
