my mom was driving my car without a license(stupid yes i know!) she was pulled over they took her to jail and impounded my car. i talked to the officer and asked twice if i could pick up the car and they said no. was this correct? i thought you could arrange to have vehicles picked up in this situation.

Answer by marine_semperfi_jarhead it depends on the policy of the department and sometimes it just comes down to officer discretion your lucky in Florida its against the law to allow someone to drive your car when you now there license is suspended

Question by : If i buy a car that is impounded in denver am i responsible for impound fees?
My car was impounded on a nuisance abatement hold back in May at the denver county impound lot. The hold was released in September and from that date the owner had 30 days to get out the car.They have until Friday to get it out. I would like to buy it. Would that negate any fines and fees or will it at least buy me time?

i was in an accident(not my fault) and my insurance ended 2 days prior so my car was impounded. I haven’t had the money to get the new policy or car. Can i still get a rental?
but doesn’t the other persons insurance pay for my rental since they were at fault?

Answer by sensible_man Yes. With proper payment (usually credit card) and purchasing the insurance at the time of rental. Rental companies do not care about your personal problems as long as they get paid.
